Ravix Construction is a licensed builder based in Takapuna, right in the middle of the North Shore of Auckland, and it's where the bulk of our work happens. From the heritage streets of Devonport and Belmont through to the growing subdivisions around Albany, we've worked on homes right across the coastline in between, Milford, Northcote, Glenfield, the Bays, and everywhere else along the way. Renovations, new builds, decks, roofing and everything else we do, delivered by a team that already knows these streets rather than one driving in from across town.
The North Shore, Suburb by Suburb
Devonport, Belmont, Bayswater and Hauraki sit closest to us in Takapuna, heritage-heavy suburbs with timber villas and bungalows on tight sections, many inside Auckland Council's Special Character Areas Overlay, which means anything visible from the street needs a careful approach and the right consent before work starts. Move round through Northcote, Birkenhead, Glenfield, Beach Haven, Hillcrest and Sunnynook and the housing gets more mixed, older bungalows alongside newer townhouses, including the new town centre and homes going up around Northcote itself as part of its Kāinga Ora regeneration. Out through the Bays, Milford, Forrest Hill, Mairangi Bay, Murrays Bay, Rothesay Bay, Browns Bay and Torbay are largely established family homes on bigger sections, many within walking distance of the beach. And Albany, at the top of the Shore, is still one of the fastest-growing corners of Auckland, new subdivisions and new streets bringing groundwork and new-build demand that simply wasn't there a decade ago.

Out through the Bays and the larger sections around Beach Haven and Glenfield, it's more often Decks & Outdoor Structures, decks, pergolas and covered outdoor living built around a coastal lifestyle. And around Albany and the newer growth streets, it's New Builds and groundwork from the ground up, on land that's still being subdivided and developed street by street.

Being based in Takapuna means the North Shore isn't a service area we drive into, it's where we already are. That's the difference between knowing a Devonport villa needs a careful, consent-aware approach to anything visible from the street, and knowing a new build going up on a freshly subdivided Albany section needs the opposite, groundwork and consenting from a blank slate. We're not learning these streets on someone else's job.
